Captain's log:Build a Microwave Transformer Homemade Stick/Arc Welder
Today I received my 10 gauge wire and I popped the secondary windings out of a couple microwave oven transformers (MOT).
Tomorrow I will wind the new secondary. Wish me luck.

10 gauge you say big wire, but not good enough!
NEED 4 and how many turns you say 3 0r 4 ?
with 10 AWG you need 20 turns and a lot of swear words ha ha ! really !
About 12 volts & between 30 and 50 amps
4 AWG 3 or 4 turns makes a lite spot welder for tin so i will leave the 4 AWG set up for you to solve good luck and these are really good tips proven ones !
the "instructables.com" person isn't me, I was going off their instructions.
